The System Administrator is responsible for the management of in-house computer software systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security for supported business applications. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. This individual will comply with provincial and federal legislation, company and health & safety policies and ISO quality program and procedures.Job Details:

Qualifications:

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar role
  • Solid understanding of key IT functions such as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
  • In-depth experience working in Corporate IT environments.
  • Hands-on work with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory
  • Experience in deploying VMWare, SAN/storage and backup systems
  • The ability to troubleshoot server and system problems both remotely and on-site
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure AD, Office 365 and/or other Cloud based solutions
  • Experience or knowledge in implementing security measures in an IT environment
  • Proficiency with VPN networks, encryption, and other aspects of network security technologies
  • Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong customer-service orientation
