Join our dynamic team of tech-savvy professionals and be part of our exciting journey where your technical skills will help us keep Canada moving every day.Job DescriptionThe Portfolio Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the UAP’s IT projects. More specifically, you are responsible for planning, tracking and reporting the project portfolio, as well as delivering the underlying projects on time, on budget and with high quality.Tasks:
- Lead the project portfolio planning exercise by developing a portfolio plan based on prioritized projects considering project dependencies and resource capacity from business units and Information Technology.
- Identify and resolve issues within the portfolio, in collaboration with IT Directors and Managers and/or other business stakeholders.
- Monitor the performance of the project portfolio and make the necessary changes to recover, re-scope, cancel or launch new projects.
- Manage escalations and mid-cycle requests for portfolio composition changes.
- Ensure the portfolio’s projects are delivered on time and on budget, with high quality.
- Review and validate project status reports as well as project steering committees’ and project gate meetings’ documents.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of project management methods, techniques, processes and practices by actively participating in PM practice development meetings and suggesting ideas and templates.
- Continuously Implement and manage changes to the project management methodology and framework. Promote changes to ensure adoption by all stakeholders (IT and business).
QualificationsTo join our team, you need:
- A university degree in computer science, business administration, or another relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, including at least 5 years as a project manager for medium or large-scale projects.
- Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, as you will frequently collaborate with clients across Canada and the United States.
