Whether you’re collaborating to design and write code, enabling data integration and web-based applications, creating APIs, or fine-tuning applications and reporting, your work will directly impact how we meet our business and guest needs.

Job Description

Who You’ll Work With:

  • Festival Foods is Wisconsin-based; with the history of a +70-year strong company that is still growing – we opened our 42nd store last year, and have over 8,000 teammates on our team.

  • Our IT function is experiencing growth. You’ll be on our development team, reporting to our IT Development Manager, and be part of a team that includes IT Developer(s) and IT Sr. Developer(s).

  • You’ll collaborate with our PMO (Project Manager and Business Analysts), Infrastructure, and business teams.

    What You’ll Do:

    Here’s what a typical day might look like:

  • Develop and Support Applications:Build and maintain ETL data integrations using Azure Data Factory, and develop web applications using C#, .NET Core, and JavaScript.

  • Optimize Performance:Support legacy PHP applications, improve SSRS report performance, and ensure efficient API functionality using ASP.Net Core.

  • Collaborate with Teams:Work closely with business users to understand project requirements, develop timelines, create test plans, debug, and ensure a smooth implementation.

  • Resolve Issues:Troubleshoot problems as they arise, identify trends, and proactively implement resolutions to improve system reliability.

  • Maintain Standards:Follow established project management, security, confidentiality and development processes while contributing ideas to improve efficiency and quality.

  • Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.

  • Support the Team:Other duties as assigned.

    What You Bring:

    In this IT Developer role at Festival Foods, we’re looking for someone with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset. To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Education:A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Programming, MIS, or a related field.

  • Experience:

  • Experience with Microsoft T-SQL, C#, .NET Core, PHP, and JavaScript.

  • Familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services, ITIL principles, and Agile development practices (preferred).

  • Proactive Approach:Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
