This will involve working with multiple Investments stakeholders to understand data challenges, and guiding engineering teams towards data designs that are scalable, repeatable, and sustainable.What you’ll be doing:

• Working with our internal Investments stakeholders, Technology and the Business Change teams to gather requirements in the form of User Stories, Features, Epics
• Delivering analysis artefacts incl. user stories, data flows, service descriptions with defined acceptance criteria and any associated mapping specifications for development and testing
• Working with our Data Operations and Marketplace teams to ensure designs are scalable, repeatable, and sustainable
• Delivering investment specific data solutions via; Collaborating with investments SMEs to clarify business requirements, Delivering the design, data model and requirements to suit business needs & Working with investments technology partners to build a cost effective solution
• Conducting analysis of existing investments datasets to identify inefficiencies, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement. Design iterative and supportable data migration plan for transition to a scalable data model that aligns with the firm’s strategic data goals
• Investigating data issues and identify root causes, collaborating with all Data Stakeholders to enable a complete understanding of the problem and solution
• Developing appropriate data controls as part of user stories; assist in keeping data documentation up to date including data dictionaries
• Performing User Acceptance Testing sign off for data deliverables and support users in executing UAT

QualificationsWho we’re looking for:

• Demonstrated understanding of the Asset Management Industry, financial products, technologies and data domains
• Good understanding of data governance concepts including data domains, data ownership, data stewardship and application of critical data element standards and definitions
• Effective requirements gathering technique
• Working on Data project/s in the Asset Management Industry supporting front office functions – in particular, day to day fund management, analytics, and trading
• Analysing and designing data services; comfortable writing SQL queries, using Swagger, analysing data and defining requirements for optimal data structure
• Data Quality dimensions and how to define DQ rules, metrics, validation processes and DQ Dashboards
• Working in an Agile, flexible and collaborative team environment
• Demonstrated collaborative approach to working with portfolio managers, quants, developers, architects, and subject matter experts alike, to solicit and communicate requirements confidently
