If you take pride in safely maintaining a wide variety of industrial equipment to ensure optimum reliability, we want to hear from you!As an Instrumentation Technician with Suncor, you can expect to learn new things, improve current processes and work with some of the most talented people in our industry!Minimum Requirements:Two years of trade experience as fully qualified JourneypersonA valid Alberta Journeyperson certified or Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation certificateHigh School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)Knowledge and understanding of pressure, temperature, level and flow instrumentation and controlsPrior use and knowledge of test equipment related to the instrumentation tradeAble to read and work from P&ID’s, loop drawings, data sheets, etc.Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving recordKey Accountabilities:Execute planned maintenance and response workPreform walk downs and help build energy isolation packagesMaintenance, testing and troubleshooting of all types of instrumentation and controlsMaintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment deficienciesProvide safety, cost, and operational improvement feedback opportunities as you see themParticipate in the development of maintenance procedures and follow maintenance procedures and instructionsLocation & other key detailsThis position is located at our Base plant Location in Fort McMurray, ABThe shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12-hour shifts)This position is safety sensitiveYou will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use of ladders and working on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confinedTo learn more about living and working in Fort McMurray,Why Suncor?Suncor’s operations include oil sands development, production and upgrading; offshore oil and gas; petroleum refining in Canada and the U.S.; and the company’s Petro-Canada retail and wholesale distribution networks (including Canada’s Electric Highway™, a coast-to-coast network of fast-charging electric vehicle stations).With a strong strategy for growth and our long-standing approach to sustainability, operational excellence, capital discipline and technology and innovation, Suncor offers a solid foundation for you to continue building your career.
