Installation Engineer (International Travel)
Location: Leicester

• Salary: c£67,000 – 90,000 (including overseas travel/offshore allowance)

Our client is a systems integrator specialising in control systems for heavy equipment within the offshore and power generation industries. They design bespoke solutions that integrate electrical panels, hardware PLCs, and mechanical components, providing innovative systems to industries like power generation, oil and gas, and waste incineration.With a team of around 30 and an annual turnover of £6 million, this growing company combines a strong reputation with a collaborative and supportive environment, offering exciting opportunities for talented Engineers.This international Installation Engineer role is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically biased Installation Engineer at a point in their career who wants to see the world, make excellent money and work on some exciting projects.The Role:
As an Installation Engineer working both nationally and internationally, 30/40% of your time will be spent travelling. When travelling both nationally and internationally (on and offshore), you’ll be responsible for mechanical installation within projects.Onsite client work will include;

• Installing units to Turbines
• Coupling pipework
• Fixing units to walls
• Installing electrical control panels – mechanically – alongside Electrical Engineers

The other 60/70% of your time will be spent on the Leicestershire site where your responsibilities will include;

• Test building pipework, valves, and niche products in readiness for final build on clients sites
• Re-writing test procedures
• Completing test report paperwork

This role will involve extensive travel up to 6 weeks at a time, with a large minority spent offshore. You will need to be comfortable with this level of travelWhat We’re Looking For:
The successful Installation Engineer will need

• A recognised Mechanical qualification (HND/HNC/Degree)
• 2/3 years experience within a hands-on, installation focussed role
• Solid experience of installing mechanical components and equipment ideally from a machinery background
• A fluid or gas background would be highly beneficial though not essential
• Must be happy to do extensive travel and be comfortable working autonomously
