Summary You will serve as a Information Technology Specialist (Policy and Planning) in the Nuclear Propulsion Directorate of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will plan and manage Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program computing and information technology requirements, needs, workload, and operating procedures from both a design and operational standpoint. You will review and concur with acquisition of equipment containing computer and information technology and software development by Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories, DOE field offices, and other contractor sites. You will be responsible for the architecture and infrastructure, planning and management for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) Information Technology (IT) systems. You will prepare and submit capital and operational plans and justifications for all Enterprise IT assets. You will establish and maintain effective relationships with other program and agency representatives, including field office, contractor, laboratory, and headquarters personnel in a networked environment. You will serve as a senior expert and consultant within and outside of the NNPP on how to integrate networks and other IT programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level/pay band BR-02 (GS-12) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing Information Technology (IT) project management and technical expertise to develop or implement IT capabilities that include mitigating cybersecurity system vulnerabilities in order to meet the mission and priorities of a warfare program. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
