Responsibilities You will serve as a technical authoritative expert and represent the program Management Office (PMO) lead engineer. You will represent work of significant scope and complexity that demands subject matter expertise, high level interface within outside organizations, and can significantly impact the efforts of other projects. You will assist the Program Management Office (PMO) lead engineer with the management and development of a responsive and highly professional technical workforce. You will develop reference models of the enterprise and maintain the information in the IT repository. You will identify opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes and utilize emerging technologies. You will document the enterprise architecture infrastructure, including the business units and key processes, using modeling techniques. You will ensure rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Coordinating the efforts of Information Technology (IT) technical area experts; providing enterprise architecture support to customers and IT project teams; ensuring application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices; recommending new equipment, configurations, system enhancements, or technological changes to improve system cost effectiveness and/or user productivity; AND participating in test planning, validation, and reviews. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Relocation incentives as described in 5 USC 5743 may be authorized in accordance with applicable regulations. PCS is not authorized. Certain incentives (such as recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
