The Work Unit:
The Indoor Environment Program exists to operate and enforce state-wide, legislatively mandated programs in asbestos, lead and Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and support the Environmental Protection Agency by developing regulations, issuing permits and certificates (licenses), approving and auditing training courses, inspecting sources for compliance with applicable regulations and taking appropriate enforcement action against sources, companies and individuals found to be out of compliance. The Program also provides public assistance and outreach to all Coloradans.
What you will be doing
This position exists to minimize exposure to asbestos and lead and to minimize environmental health impacts caused by CFCs by identifying potential health and safety problems, evaluating and minimizing the seriousness of the problem and to help implement and enforce regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
An applicant may meet the minimum qualifications for this job in one of two ways: They may qualify through their work experience alone or through a combination of education and work experience.
Experience Only:
Four (4) years of relevant experience in environmental or physical sciences, or a field related to the work assignment.
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in environmental or physical sciences, a field of study, or an occupation related to the work assigned equal to four (4) years
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to the minimum requirements, the successful candidate in this position will have the following experience:
