- Mission of the Independent Board advisor :
Following the successful completion of its Series A funding, Hubcycle is now at a pivotal stage where building a diverse, complementary, and resourceful governance structure is essential to establishing itself as a key player in the market and ensuring strategically viable funding or exit.To strengthen our governance, we are seeking an Independent Board Advisor with a deep experience and a strong network in food ingredients and public affairs. This is a strategic, non-operational role, focused on business development and financial strategy.Key Responsibilities:
- Optimizing Governance – Support the founders and the Management in structuring the board and facilitating strategic decision-making.
- Advising Leadership – Provide high-level recommendations on corporate strategy and financials.
- Leveraging Networks – Connect Hubcycle with investors, strategic partners, clients, and industry experts.
- Strengthening the Founders – Act as a trusted advisor, bringing experience in high-stakes decision-making.
- M&A Expertise – Offer insights on potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
- Evangelizing & Lobbying – Advocate for Hubcycle’s vision and mission within key industry and political circles.
- Driving Growth & Exit Strategy – Enhance sourcing, boost sales opportunities, and influence the company’s long-term exit strategy through an extensive network.
With deep expertise in the food ingredients sector, corporate finance, and policy influence, the Independent Board Advisor will play a critical role in shaping Hubcycle’s success and market impact.Skills needed :We are looking for someone who will have both, short & long term impact. Being able to adapt to a start up is important.
- Multiple years of corporate management in bulk ingredient spaces with international exposure is a must to understand our positioning and value chain
- Having been part of Scale up, LBO, Transition, or merger is important.
- Experience in lobbying for a cause with extensive network in food ingredients (not only the big names, also the agile mid size enterprises)
- Experience in board advisory position for strategic M&A and exit
- Carrying the same values we have essentially boldness and peak performance

The hiring process :
- First meeting : 30mins with COO, content : Your background, experience & motivation.
- Second meeting : 60mins with CEO, content : Deep dive questions & scorecard.
- Third meeting : 90mins on site (Avignon) with the management team.
- Fourth & last meeting : Meeting with investors from the board.
