Certified Surgical Technologist | Contract PositionLocation: Rochester, NY 14621
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Open to Local & Travel CandidatesPosition Highlights:

• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Weekly Pay Rate: $1440 – $1584

Shift: Day/Evening rotating

• 7:00 AM 7:30 PM
• 11:00 AM 11:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures
• Maintain sterile field and pass instruments to surgeons
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
• Participate in the turnover of OR rooms-including cleaning, prepping, and mopping, when needed
• Collaborate with RNs and surgical team for efficient workflow and patient care
• Ensure surgical equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and ready for use
• Handle instruments safely and anticipate surgeon’s needs during procedures

Job Requirements:Certification:

• NBSTSA Certification-required
• NCCT Certification-accepted only if degree is from a CAAHEP- or Schools (ABHES)-accredited program in Surgical Technology
• BLS Certification (AHA) required

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience in an acute care.
• Strong orthopedic skills must be able to independently perform total joint cases
• Vascular experience required in both hybrid and open surgical cases.

Travel & Local Considerations:

• Candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for travel pay.
