Overview:Hygiene Operative (Nights)Humdinger, Sherburn in ElmetPosition type: Full-time PermanentHours: 40Shift Pattern: Sunday – Thursday, 22:00 – 06:00Pay range: £13.13/hour (£27,310.40 equivalent)Breaks: 1x 15 paid minute, 1x 30 paid minute Responsibilities:We are looking for a dedicated individual to maintain high cleaning and housekeeping standards, ensuring adherence to all site-specific cleaning schedules and work instructions. Responsibilities include:

• Accurately recording the completion of cleaning tasks and ensuring compliance with company procedures. Reporting any incomplete tasks to ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken for critical activities.
• Ensuring proper segregation and disposal of non-compliant products, waste, and recyclable materials.
• Identifying and reporting any food safety, pest control, or environmental concerns to management.
• Adhering to company health and safety policies, as well as The Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Following all job-specific and HACCP instructions, training, guidelines, and briefings.
• Ensuring key equipment and plant are thoroughly cleaned, safe, and ready for operation, contributing to the team’s efforts in achieving departmental KPIs.
• Sharing knowledge and best practices with team members to foster continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and take initiative
• Excellent organisational skills
• The confidence to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in hygiene or cleaning within a food manufacturing or similar setting is preferred, but full training will be provided
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and COSHH regulations, or a willingness to complete training provided by Kinnerton
• Desirable: Experience working within a hygiene team
• A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
