Start Date: ASAPWe are seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a temporary position for our client, a mission-driven organization located in Bar Harbor, Maine. The HR Generalist will provide centralized support across various human resources functions, acting as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related policies, procedures, and inquiries. The HR Generalist will ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency across HR service areas such as employee relations, onboarding/offboarding, benefits, leave management, HRIS support, and regulatory compliance. This is a temporary position covering a leave of absencea great opportunity to get your foot in the door with a respected employer.As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for:Provide timely and accurate responses to employee and manager questions about HR policies, systems, and proceduresHandle and document general employee relations matters, including investigations and coaching, ensuring consistent application of policyServe as a liaison between employees and Centers of Excellence for benefits, compensation, leave, and trainingCoordinate onboarding and offboarding activities in line with established protocolsEnsure HR operations comply with applicable employment laws and internal standardsMaintain accurate documentation and support audits related to personnel recordsContribute to the development and maintenance of internal HR knowledgebase contentParticipate in special projects that enhance HR operations and service deliveryThe ideal candidate for this role will have:A bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or a high school diploma with extensive relevant experience35 years of HR generalist, shared services, or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of federal and state employment lawsFamiliarity with HRIS platforms and case management toolsProfessional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferredStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyExceptional organizational and multi-tasking skillsExperience with process improvement or procedure documentation preferredAbility to work effectively across departments and locationsBenefits:Enjoy affordable health and prescription coverage with no waiting periodAsk us about our Referral Bonus Program to earn extra cashPre-Employment Requirements:Background check conducted by Bonney StaffingReady to take the next step?
