HR / Payroll OfficerSalary: £35,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm (possibility of a 4-day work week) 37.5hoursOnsitePerm RoleJob OverviewWe are seeking an experienced HR/Payroll Officer to join our client’s team in Thirsk, England. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both human resources and payroll management, with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Key ResponsibilitiesHR Management:
- Oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance on employment law and ensure compliance.
- Manage employee performance and development programs.
Payroll Management:
- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll data entry and processing.
- Handle employee payroll queries and resolve issues promptly.
- Coordinate with the finance department for payroll reconciliation.
- Oversee compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in HR and payroll management roles.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and payroll regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
