We’re seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our London Litigation, Arbitration and Investigations practice on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.This is your opportunity to influence, lead, and drive change in a leading global commercial law firm.Key Responsibilities:Strategy and Business Planning:

  • Collaborate with Partners to develop and implement a people strategy that aligns with practice business plans and the firm’s strategic goals.
  • Challenge and inspire the business to embrace and act upon the people plan.

People Leadership:

  • Coach and develop Partners in people management and leadership skills.
  • Leverage coaching and mentoring programmes to enhance leadership capabilities.

Talent Management and Engagement:

  • Design and execute talent management strategies that identify and nurture high-potential performers.
  • Focus on effective individual associate management to enhance overall practice quality.

Performance Management:

  • Drive the setting and achievement of objectives consistent with practice and firm priorities.
  • Foster a culture of constructive feedback and fair performance review processes.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I):

  • Support Partners in career management in line with the firm’s DE&I strategy.
  • Utilise the Career Toolkit and Race Action Plan to ensure inclusive and equitable career development.

Headcount Management:

  • Monitor and adapt the group structure for optimal resource allocation and retention.
  • Collaborate on recruitment strategies, from managing trainee planning to lateral hiring.

HR Manager – What we’re looking for:

  • Proven HR experience within blue-chip organisations, acting as an effective business partner.
  • Background in HR practices focusing on talent, change, engagement, and performance.
  • Experience with employee relations and recruitment within a professional services environment.
  • Commercial awareness with a solid understanding of business dynamics and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong influencer capable of confidently challenging senior stakeholders.
  • Effective relationship builder with strategic insight and independent judgement.
  • Professional, credible communicator with strong presentation skills.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and solution-oriented with a collaborative team approach.
  • Committed and proactive, with empathy and a common-sense attitude.
