Demonstrable background in independently managing complex employee relations cases and confidence in managing HR compliance and processes in a growing organisation.The post holder will be responsible for operational and transactional tasks, such as; recruitment, onboarding and advising managers on performance management processes. There will also be opportunities to provide strategic HR support to the MD on projects such as employee engagement, diversity initiatives and talent development.This is a unique role, as you will be solely leading HR management, it’s an excellent opportunity for a growing and confident HR professional to shape our HR function. You will also be in charge of providing relevant advice and guidance for HR-related matters for both head office roles as well as seasonal staff. This includes, but is not limited to, disciplinary issues, welfare and performance management.You will be measured on achieving positive employee engagement as well as excellent employee retention levels, minimising the time to hire new talent, on the outcomes of diversity initiatives, the effectiveness of L&D programmes and success in achieving important talent development certifications.If you are excited about the opportunity to join an expanding educational provider and meet the requirements, we’d love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesHR Operations
- Being the sole point of contact for HR-related queries such as disciplinary, family policies, performance management etc.
- Managing administrative tasks relating to HR and compliance.
- Establish and refine HR policies, procedures, and practices that align with legal requirements and industry best practices.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HR systems, tools, and processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Liaise with a third-party HR agency for advice and guidance when needed.
- Ensure compliance with international employment laws and regulations, while fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment.
Talent Acquisition and Development
- Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to extending offers and onboarding new hires.
- Develop and implement effective strategies for attracting, assessing, and hiring top talent.
- Design and execute comprehensive onboarding and employee development programs to promote growth and retention.
Culture and Employee Engagement
- Cultivate a positive and high-performing culture by promoting employee engagement, recognition, and well-being initiatives.
- Implement strategies to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace, ensuring all employees feel valued and supported.
- Regularly assess and measure employee satisfaction, and develop action plans to address feedback and enhance the employee experience.
Performance Management
- Design and implement performance management processes, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and career development plans.
- Introduce learning and development schemes to provide teams and managers with guidance and coaching on effective performance management techniques.
- Drive a culture of continuous feedback and professional growth throughout the organisation, ensuring all employees receive regular performance reviews.
Requirements
- At least 5 years in Human Resources, ideally extensive experience in an operational capacity
- Demonstrable experience in handling complex employee relations cases
- Experience in setting up and maintaining HR compliance-related policies, processes and tasks
- Worked for a fast-growing scale-up as an HR Manager or similar
- Understand different recruitment processes for employees and freelancers/contractors
- Designed performance review processes
- An understanding of L&D, ideally with programme development
- Set up and rolled out efficient OKR and HCM systems for enhancing employee productivity and tracking performance
- Designed and orchestrated corporate cultures
- Built high-performance cultures, improving productivity
- Solid communication skills with an ability to speak with confidence
