Position Overview
The ConocoPhillips Canada Human Resources team is looking for an HR Associate to join our Canada HR Services & Occupational Health Organization for a 12-month temporary role. This role will focus primarily on Timekeeping/Timesheet support, Recruiting support, and Employee Data Management for our Canadian organization with additional duties as required. The HR Associate will provide front-line support to office and site-based employees through phone, e-mail, Workday case support and in-person inquiries. This individual will also work collaboratively with our HR Services counterparts in our Global HR Organization. This role is best filled by an individual with exceptional attention to detail and trouble-shooting aptitude, who is energized by working with people to help them understand HR programs/policies, systems, and related issues.
This role will be accountable for various support tasks within the Human Resources Organization with specific accountabilities in the following areas:
Timekeeping/Timesheet Support

Coordinating and supporting various aspects of the Timekeeping/Timesheet Support, including but not limited to:
-
Regular weekly reviews and audits of time and absence entries
-
Communication and timely follow-up with employees and leaders as it pertains to timesheet entry and approvals
-
Monitoring for unsubmitted and unapproved time
-
Training new hires on timesheet entry. Maintaining training materials for employees and leaders as it pertains to timesheet entry and approvals.

Regular reviews of process and gathering feedback to improve end user experience
Recruiting Support
-
Coordinating and supporting various aspects of the recruiting process, including but not limited to:
-
Job postings, scheduling interviews, developing job requisitions, and preparing offer letters

Back-up to Recruiting Advisor
Employee Data Support
-
Maintaining all employee data in Workday, including:
-
Reorganizations
-
Salary Actions
-
Internal Transfers
-
Troubleshooting Help Cases
-
Supporting Workday Learning system and tracking
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related discipline
-
Minimum 2-3 years of HR generalist related experience. Timekeeping/Payroll and Recruiting preferred.

Experience with Workday
-
Advanced Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
-
Strong orientation for detail and accuracy
-
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and must be a team player
-
Excellent organization and time management skills and able to multi-task in a fast paced work environment independently
-
Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
-
Must be legally permitted to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications
-
Previous experience in Oil & Gas
-
Exposure to field organizations, and supporting remote staff
-
Experience with in person and virtual end-user training
-
Experience with troubleshooting and supporting complex employee data management scenarios

Recognized as a resource within function for problem solving capabilities

Disciplined work ethic and works with a sense of urgency

Identifies, promotes and implements best practices in area of responsibility

Strong decision-making ability
