The franchised Wingate by Wyndham location in Kanata, Ontario is seeking a Housekeeping Room Attendant (Franchise) to join its team at the Wingate by Wyndham Kanata West Ottawa.

What you’ll do
In Guestrooms
-
Clean guestrooms as assigned achieving standards of cleanliness and presentation as expected by hotel guests and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts

Ensure supplies and printed materials in guestrooms are replenished achieving the correct standards for our guestrooms.

Provide service to stayover rooms by making beds, changing sheets, vacuuming floors, draperies and furniture, dusting, replenishing supplies, removing garbage and recycling.

Promote a culture of safety by ensuring the security of the rooms, keys and guests.

Follow and understand the correct storage and usage of cleaning agents as per health and safety guidelines (WHMIS) and manufacturer’s instructions.

Facilitate the clean linen process in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Ensure corridors and public areas are in a presentable condition.
You’ll be successful if you have

1-3 years experience in hotel housekeeping, laundry or similar experience is ideal

Ability to work independently

Detail oriented

This role is a physically demanding role and may include repetitive bending, pulling, carrying, lifting and pushing (up-to 75 lbs.)

Required Qualifications/Experience
-
Prior hotel experience in housekeeping or related field
-
Strong background in industrial cleaning and custodial services
-
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment
-
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures
-
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
-
Experience with laundry operations and maintaining cleanliness standards
