Actalent is urgently hiring a Pharmacist! 3 month contract, with possibility of extensionThis position would be split between a location in Far Rockaway, Queens & Inwood, BronxRate: $68.50 an hourJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent patient service abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality pharmaceutical care in a hospital or managed care setting.Responsibilities

• Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness for patient therapy.
• Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions to promote adherence and understanding.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in acute care settings to optimize pain management and medication therapy.
• Conduct medication reconciliation during patient admissions and discharges to prevent errors.
• Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as needed based on clinical guidelines.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacy practices.
• Participate in pharmacy residency programs or ongoing education to enhance professional development.
