Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Temp-to-HireJob Summary:We are seeking a Maintenance Worker for a Temp-to-Hire position at a manufacturing facility in Harrisburg, OR. This role involves performing routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, tools, and shop equipment, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and structural issues, and assisting with various general shop tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a jack-of-all-trades mindset with the ability to work well within a team, strong mechanical skills, and a positive, proactive attitude.Key Responsibilities:Maintenance Activities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, tools, and shop equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and structural issues within the facility.
• Assist with welding, fabrication, and other general shop tasks as needed.
• Repair or replace worn-out or damaged parts on equipment and building fixtures.
• Assist in installing, adjusting, and maintaining shop tools and workstations.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Ensure shop areas, workstations, and outdoor grounds are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
• Work closely with supervisors and other departments to support production needs.

Safety & Organization

• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in an organized and safe manner.
• Ensure work areas and shop facilities are clean, clear, and well-maintained.
• Follow all workplace safety protocols and report hazards or safety concerns immediately.
• Wear appropriate safety gear and use proper lifting techniques.
• Assist in enforcing company safety standards and regulations.

Teamwork & Communication

• Work closely with other maintenance team members and supervisors to resolve facility issues.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
• Provide support to other departments when maintenance help is needed.
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Maintenance 1: Some experience in maintenance or a related field, or a strong willingness to learn.
• Maintenance 2: At least 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and welding repairs is a plus.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to adapt to different tasks as needed.
• Comfortable working in an industrial environment and performing physically demanding tasks.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work well in a team setting.
• Ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Welding experience is a plus but not required.
