Job Title: Cleanroom Labor Urgently Hiring!
Pay: $17.40/hr
Hours: Mon-Fri, 6am-2:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Corvallis, ORWe are seeking a Cleanroom Labor for a Temp-Hire position with our client, a reputable company providing uniforms and related products to more than 400,000 customers nationwide. Their focus at this location is on the laundering side of operations. The Cleanroom Labor will play an essential role in maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced industrial laundry facility. The ideal candidate will be proactive in performing a variety of tasks within the plant and adhering to safety and quality standards.As a Cleanroom Labor, you will be responsible for:
- Removing cleaned garments from carts and grading merchandise per pre-established standards
- Properly folding, bundling, and inspecting items such as shop towels, bar towels, fender covers, and overalls
- Moving folded and bundled items to the route make-up area via conveyor or cart
- Assisting in the Steam Tunnel, including unloading carts of clean garments, hanging garments on the conveyor system, and inspecting them for damage or improper cleaning
- Assisting in the Pressing Department, including unloading carts, pressing garments with flat irons or automatic pressing machines, and inspecting garments for defects
- Working in a fully suited environment within the cleanroom
- Maintaining a clean and hazard-free work area, reporting any issues promptly
- Supporting a team environment and continuous improvement by making suggestions and implementing them where possible
- Potential to sew and repair garments as needed
Important Cleanroom Guidelines:
- Full protective coveralls (provided by the employer) must be worn at all times while working in the cleanroom.
- No piercings, fragrances, makeup, self tanner, or hair products are allowed while working in the cleanroom.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Prompt arrival and regular attendance
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred, but not required)
- Experience with basic sewing techniques (preferred, but not required)
- Ability to differentiate between colors, recognize and match numbers, and distinguish between cotton and synthetics
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift with appropriate breaks and lunch
- A team-oriented attitude and willingness to support continuous improvement
