Hire ControllerLocation: Billericay, EssexSalary: £28,000 per annumHours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMBenefits: 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays (increasing with service), pension scheme, on-site parking & team social events!Are you a highly organised professional with a talent for multitasking and delivering exceptional customer service? Our client, a well-established and dynamic company in Billericay, is seeking a Hire Controller to join their busy and friendly team.Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of a fast-paced hire desk with accuracy and efficiency.

• Deliver outstanding customer service with a confident and professional telephone manner.

• Liaise with the engineering team to ensure equipment is prepared and available for hire.

• Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Build and nurture strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

• Handle all hire desk documentation including quotes, contracts, and delivery/collection notes.

• Process hire orders swiftly and accurately.

• Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email with professionalism and care.

What We’re Looking For:

• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.

• Strong communication abilities and a customer-first mindset.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
