To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.An innovative and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker to join our team in Clinical Investigation Unit, Ninewells Hospital, with rotation to Medical Outpatients as well as Clinical Investigation Unit in PRI.The Clinical Investigation Unit provides critical admission avoidance work in the form of diagnostics, treatments and interventions alongside intravenous therapies to support and manage disease progression. CIU also provides assessment, treatment and education to patients referred into the DVT Clinic.The successful applicant will be expected to work autonomously under the supervision of the RN including undertaking admission, pre/post procedure care, venepuncture/cannulation and safe discharging. This post is also open to current band 2 Health care support workers who wish to work towards a Band 3.You should possess evidence of continued learning across the 4 pillars, preferably having gained SCQF qualifications appropriate to your current healthcare setting. This is a chance to fully develop and further enhance skills and knowledge you may already possess. You should be energetic, enthusiastic, reliable, highly motivated and interested in developing further within the role. You must have the ability to work with people and as part of a multi disciplinary team as well as the ability to reprioritise your workload due to unpredictable demand.This role will involve rotational work within Clinical Investigation Units across both sites.You will be expected to have completed and posses excellent working knowledge of the Mandatory Induction Standards For Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employmentInformal enquiries to: Fiona Kennedy, Senior Charge Nurse Tel: 01382 632494Hours of work are: 37.0 per weekShort-listed applicants will be contacted by email.
