We are looking for : Health, Safety, Security & Environment Engineer

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang

Operational Excellence

• Assist in identifying risks and force a pro-active planning process on Safety program.
• To set and maintain the CS area including plant room as a healthy working environment for employees, which is, as far as reasonably practicable, safe and without risk to health and injury
• To comply with the Intel Standard requirements including all related management system i.e ISO 45001, 14001, RBA.
• Identify and evaluate hazards, environmental aspects and work practices in the workplace, help develop controls for identified hazards & environmental aspects and coordinate the implementation of control or preventive measures by performing routine line walk and audit and communicate observations and monitor closure with action item owner.
• Measure, evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of Safety control system, policies, and procedures and recommend changes to improve processes, eliminate/reduce workplace hazards and eliminate/reduce environmental pollutions
• Investigate, compile, analyze and report Safety performance including industrial accidents, injuries, or occupational diseases and environmental investigation accidents
• Coordinates relevant activities as a management representative, such as daily toolbox/pre-shift meeting and management at the site.
• Review, develop, and enforce the implementation of Safety related procedures in response with customer requirements, company and applicable laws/regulatory.
• Has knowledge and can facilitate EHS Induction and other training mainly on Safety and etc. for relevant suppliers/contractors,
• Arranging, facilitating, and tracking of JLL employees Safety trainings
• Facilitates, assist Occupational incident investigation in conjunction with line and facility staff personnel.
• Tracks EHS Local Regulatory, assess application and communicate implementation to all stakeholders.
• Implementing corrective actions and suspending operations if required.
• Advising various parties on workers’ compensation claims pertaining to workplace exposures.
• Maintaining current knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety/Engineering or any relevant studies.
• 1 to 2 years of working experience in related field
• Familiar with Malaysian related Guideline and Legislation (i.e OSHA 1994, FMA and etc)
• Competent Safety & Health Officer (registered with DOSH) will be advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Good verbal communication and good in English business writing.
• Presentation skill and well versed in Microsoft office application.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and coordination skills.
• Process own transport.
