Are you a Health & Safety professional with a solid rail background and a passion for building strong safety cultures? This is your opportunity to join a well-established company as it expands into the sub-contract market-focusing on rail, highways, and construction.
We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the development and implementation of a robust H&S programme. This is a pivotal role with the opportunity to shape the department, mentor junior team members, and make a genuine impact from day one.🔧 Key Responsibilities:Champion a Safety First culture across all levels of the business
Advise and support senior management and site teams on all aspects of Health & Safety
Manage and maintain RISQS compliance, including attaining new product codes
Analyse H&S data from site activities, identify trends, and implement improvements
Lead on-site presence to ensure H&S best practices are followed
Develop and carry out a structured programme of site visits and audits
Mentor and develop junior H&S staff
Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Share learnings from incidents/accidents with all stakeholders✅ What We’re Looking For:Proven experience in a site-based Health & Safety Advisor/Manager role, ideally within the rail sector
A “can do” attitude and the drive to embed safety into every level of the business
NEBOSH-qualified and hold Sentinel competencies
Strong decision-making skills and attention to detail
Confident communicator with the ability to influence colleagues, clients, and external partners
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
£40000 – 50000 per year
