Its big-scale stuff and we’re still growing.The Role:The Head of Platform Delivery is a critical role within our eCommerce division, reporting directly to the eCommerce Director. You will be responsible for the strategic platforms that support the delivery of key products for our Customer and Commercial teams, including our eRes Reservation System, Revenue Management system and key platforms that serve Customers in the airport and aircraft environment such as our in-flight retail offering. These platforms are essential for the delivery of our end-to-end booking journey and Customer experience throughout their travel with us.What You Will Do:In this role, you will oversee all aspects of these platforms, from strategic development to service availability and system performance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the delivery of high-quality platforms that align with our product strategy.
• Collaborating with the Head of Software Engineering to align platform roadmaps with our engineering strategy and ongoing platform modernisation
• Managing the overall health and performance of all our eCommerce platforms.
• Partnering with various technology teams to challenge the status quo and improve our ways of working.
• Managing multiple vendor and ecosystem partners to ensure high-quality delivery and platform performance.
• Collaborating with the Head of Product Engineering to ensure our Customer and Commercial platforms are able to service the needs of our key Digital products.

QualificationsWho We Are Looking For:We need a highly technical leader with a deep understanding of the technologies that drive our strategic platforms. You should have:

• Proven leadership skills in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills to ensure understanding across all levels of the organisation.
• Extensive experience in Agile methodologies and Cloud Technologies, preferably with AWS, and an understanding of Serverless and Cloud Native Solutions.
• Experience with SaaS solutions and managing service quality and change.
• Experience of working in an eCommerce environment with knowledge of the related systems that underpin this part of the business (Offer, Order, Inventory Management, Pricing)
• Ideally experience of working in a composable architecture, with an understanding of Service and Event based architectures.
