We’re putting together a talented team to build the #1 training platform for RunnersWe help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you’re improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.We’re growing extremely fast and in November 2023 closed a new £5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. We want to grow as fast as we can into the future and are looking for individuals who will help us get there. Now is a magical time to join, we’re still small, and everyone makes a foundational difference.RequirementsWhat you’ll be doingYou’ll report directly to our COO (Josh) and will be responsible for leading our **people** and **talent** function end to end. You’ll be a senior member of the Runna team and will act as a councillor to our execs and other senior leaders. We want someone who already understands what a role like this will take (and is excited to roll up their sleeves) but the things that we think are particularly important are:From a talent perspective:
From a people perspective:Ensure all our team have the opportunity to grow and develop by designing and implementing learning and development programs that support career growth and professional development for all team members. Establish and manage a robust performance management process, including setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and conducting performance reviews to foster continuous learning, skills development, and leadership growth.Across both:Champion the Runna culture and lead initiatives that ensure it is lived throughout the company. We’re super proud of our culture and we want you to help us make sure it scales. We need you to design and implement engagement strategies that enhance job satisfaction, morale, and productivity. This includes promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in both our hiring and internally to create a welcoming and inclusive workplace for all current and potential team members. You will also, personally, be a key culture carrier as our team grows.Ensure our compensation and benefits package continue to make Runna a fantastic place to work by overseeing the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent in both the US and UK. Ensure all offerings comply with legal standards and align with industry benchmarks. Regularly review compensation structures to maintain internal equity and external competitivenessFurther develop Runna’s HR Operations including employee records, payroll, ATS and HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, including workplace safety, discrimination, and labor practices. Develop and maintain HR metrics and reporting to support data-driven decision-makingWhat experience we’re looking forA degree isn’t required for this role, but we do need you to have 5 – 10 years of solid experience, particularly in fast-growing start ups

BenefitsBenefits and optionsWe offer a salary of £85,000 – £120,000 per year depending on experience plus equity in the form of Runna stock options.We’ll be growing our package of benefits over time. We currently offer:
