Job description

As the Group Accountant you will lead on financial reporting for head office entities and also supporting with the group consolidation. Your initial focus will be a project around intecompany processes, in line with their newly implemented finance system. You will also provide support on the audit and with the co-ordination of the statutory accounts process.

• Accounting for head office entities including journal posting and balance sheet reconciliations
• Establish and maintain a new intercompany process in collaboration with divisional finance, group treasury and finance system teams. Focus on capturing internal transactions accurately and “Right First Time” within the new finance system (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and reporting outputs for matrix matching
• Support the Group FC in monitoring compliance with the group internal controls framework to support rapid future growth.
• Support the Group FC in coordinating the Group and entity audits
• Support the production of group ‘glossy’ Annual Report
• Assist in co-ordination of subsidiary statutory financial statements, supporting the wider finance team to ensure compliance with the standardised template.
• Support integration of acquired entities and acquisition accounting, where required
• Support anticipated IFRS transition in 1-2 years.

• This role would suit someone making their 1st move from Practice from an Audit background – potentially Top 20 or someone already working in a Group Accountant role
