Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the below opportunity within our business:Graduate Advanced Manufacturing EngineerThis is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an engineering function in the middle of multiple new programme launches and gain valuable hands-on experience within a fast-paced and stimulating automotive manufacturing environment.Main purpose of the jobTo support the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) team in the development and implementation of efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production processes for new product introductions. This role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, support tooling procurement, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.Main missions and results

• Assist in the design and development of manufacturing equipment and processes for new projects, ensuring alignment with product design and quality requirements.

• Support the specification, sourcing, and procurement of production equipment, tooling, jigs, and fixtures in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• Participate in process validation and capability studies to ensure robust and repeatable manufacturing solutions.

• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of process documentation, including work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans.

• Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.

• Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement activities.

• Assist in the evaluation and integration of new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions.

• Ensure all new products, process and materials are safe and complete health and safety documents as required.

Preferred skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• Some understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling design, and production workflows.

• Familiarity with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) and basic knowledge of GD&T.

• Exposure to lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.

• Good problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across departments.

• Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment.

What you’ll getYou will receive a competitive salary ranging plus company holiday pay.Working hours are 37.5 per week, and this position would be eligible for some hybrid working, based on hiring manager and function lead approval.
