Vantor is looking to hire a Geospatial Analyst to work as part of a team with a predominant focus on activity-based intelligence (ABI) and data science expertise toward emerging and dynamic intelligence issues. The Geospatial Analyst will support a variety of evolving analytic and tradecraft requirements, focusing on using ABI to develop networks and personalities associated with intelligence priorities. This position will perform research; populate and exploit intelligence databases; and contribute to written and graphic intelligence products, including briefings to Intelligence Community stakeholders and senior decision makers.
The ideal candidate has strong organizational and communication skills; experience exploiting geospatial data sources; and success working in a role with considerable day-to-day variation. Additionally, the ideal candidate has demonstrated the ability to manage their own efforts over a broad scope of work as an independent contributor.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph.
Bachelor’s degree (4 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree).
5 years of experience as a Geospatial Analyst.
Must be a highly motivated, self-driven team player who can interact well with others and advise/consult with other team members and customers.
Demonstrated experience fostering a team culture that values analytic integrity, teamwork, mission, learning and exploitation.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, balance and realign taskings based on mission need.
Demonstrated proficiency conducting holistic GEOINT analysis that incorporates SIGINT, HUMINT, OSINT and other non-traditional GEOINT data sources.
Demonstrated ability to independently research, evaluate, and synthesize ill-defined problem sets, and effectively communicate complex technical analytic conclusions and methods to audiences with a variety of technical capabilities.
Strong interpersonal skills and experience contributing to the development and growth of relationships with various peers, partners, and customers.
Must be willing to work onsite in Springfield, VA.
Preferred Requirements:
Collaborate with management and technical team on product development and strategy.
Work with data scientists to identify gaps and propose potential solutions.
Maintain high standards for precision, accuracy, and completeness of information.
Provides expertise in the use and Application of geospatial technologies, geospatial analysis, and produces integrated GIS products.
Demonstrated proficiency applying activity-based intelligence analysis tradecraft.
Sound judgment and creative problem solving and independent working skills.
Demonstrated ability to produce analytic assessments leveraging Mosaic and ArcGIS.
Proactiveness in maintaining, innovating and implementing analytic approaches and data sets that improve/evolve the team’s function, mission, and tradecraft.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
* The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $99,000.00 – $165,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
