Job Title: Executive Director (GM) – Retirement HomeLocation: Hamilton, OntarioAbout Us: Our client is a leading provider of senior living and retirement communities dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. With a commitment to excellence, they offer a range of services and amenities to ensure a comfortable and vibrant living environment for seniors.Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead our client’s retirement home in Hamilton, Ontario. The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the community, ensuring the highest standard of care, resident satisfaction, and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to the entire team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Lead by example, promoting a culture of compassion, respect, and professionalism.
2. Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of the retirement home, including resident care, staff management, budgeting, and compliance with regulations. Ensure the facility operates efficiently and meets all safety and quality standards.
3. Resident Care: Prioritize resident well-being, safety, and satisfaction. Implement and maintain person-centered care plans, fostering a nurturing and supportive living environment.
4. Financial Management: Develop and manage the annual budget, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and licensing requirements, maintaining a safe and legally sound environment for residents and staff.
6. Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and the local community. Organize events and activities that enhance the residents’ quality of life.
7. Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor staff members, promoting professional growth and ensuring a high level of competence and dedication among the team.
8. Marketing and Growth: Collaborate with the marketing team to attract new residents and maintain high occupancy rates. Implement marketing strategies and initiatives to showcase the community’s strengths.Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in senior living, retirement homes, or healthcare management.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and financial performance.
  • Passion for providing exceptional care to seniors.
  • Results-driven with a focus on resident satisfaction and operational excellence.
