You will play a vital role in our manufacturing operations by safely and efficiently transporting materials throughout our warehouse and production facilities.What you are already great at:

  • Using a variety of equipment, such as electric hand trucks, counterbalance forklifts, stand up Man rider, Bobcat (after Training if Required)
  • Loading and unloading goods from various sized vehicles / containers including use of ramp.
  • Moving materials around the facility using pallets and crates, such as stacking loads in storage bays or moving pallets of products between factory & warehouse racks
  • Checking loads are secure and ensuring forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
  • Performing daily equipment checks and basic maintenance, such as inspecting machinery to determine safe use and any need for repairs
  • Completing paperwork for delivery notes and stock control, and maintaining accurate production records and reports of issues
  • Following written instructions and adhering to Health and Safety regulations / procedures
  • Adhere to the site FLT rules always
  • Being aware of the work surroundings and hazards, such as pedestrians, objects, and other drivers, to avoid dangerous situations
  • Using FLT & Bobcat to load RAW materials into holding bins via hopper.
  • Ensuring Delivery Drivers follow & adhere to all the site safety rules.
  • Maintaining a good level of cleanliness in the warehouse and RAW material areas and loading/unloading area
  • Ensure all stacked materials are neat and safely stored
  • Inform appropriate persons of any issues no matter how small especially when safety of persons is at risk.
  • Emptying internal factory skips into larger containers stored externally (Daily Occurrence)
  • Helping delivery drivers with entry & exit to site.
  • Working as part of a team to aid better & safer conditions

For this role we would need you to demonstrate:

  • Valid FLT operator license (counterbalance, reach truck, or other relevant type).
  • Previous experience operating FLT trucks in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Strong safety record with no major incidents or accidents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
