Financial Crime Analytics Consultant (SAS)

As a member of our Financial Crime Analytics team, you’ll be working hands-on to build and maintain our defences against the constant threat of financial crime. You’ll use your financial crime and/or technical background to ensure we identify potential criminal activity and comply with money laundering regulations whilst optimising the effectiveness and efficiency of key controls.This role is within our first line financial crime team and will see you specialise in Customer Risk Assessment. The team’s aim is to protect the Society and our members from financial crime, ensuring we achieve regulatory and legal compliance in a way that optimises effectiveness and efficiency.At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. You can also find out more about our approach toIf we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.What you’ll be doingYou’ll be using data and analytical techniques to accurately assess financial crime risk levels within the Society’s member base. This will involve using industry leading systems and tools to identify high risk customers that require enhanced due diligence and ongoing monitoring.You’ll work with large datasets, primarily using SAS to carry out your analysis, impact assessments and forecasting. You’ll also need to understand the financial crime risks within our member base and recommend solutions to mitigate these. You’ll produce high quality documentation and be able to articulate the findings of your analysis to senior members of the analytics team.About you
