We are currently hiring an experienced Financial Controller to join our client’s team in Mississauga, ON.This is a direct hire position, you will be hired directly by our client, an established Transportation/Logistics company in the GTA.A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or similar financial management role within the Transportation industry is required for this position.Salary: Up to $150,000/year based on experienceShift: Day shiftsResponsibilities:
– Preparing/reviewing/analyzing financial statements
– Assisting with developing annual budget and financial planning/forecasting/strategies while identifying opportunities for cost reduction/improvements
– Implementing controls to ensure compliance with regulations to protect company assets
– Monitoring/managing cash flow and working capital
– Coordinating annual audits
– Supervising team members as required
– Other duties as requiredQualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
– CPA certification preferred
– Proven work experience as a Controller or similar financial management role within the Transportation/Logistics industry (minimum 5 years’ experience)
– Strong knowledge of APSE or IFRS accounting principles and financial reporting standards
– Excellent leadership and team management skills
– Excellent communication skills
– Excellent interpersonal skills
– Detail-oriented

– Strong problem-solving skills
