Job DescriptionThis role is a 3-6 month fixed term contract with the view to going permanent. Immediate starters preferred.This role is based 5 days a week on site

  • Managing all Finance and day-to-day accounting operations – accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, inventory, revenue recognition
  • Preparing budgets and financial forecasts and report variances to Heads of Departments and Group Finance team
  • Updating SLT report monthly with store sales targets
  • Reviewing and approving payroll reports for submission to Group
  • Preparing monthly consolidated management accounts in line with month end Group timetable and deadlines
  • Business and data analysis and preparation of business KPI’s
  • Managing and mentoring finance department team of 3
  • Support the Heads of department by providing insightful analytical financial information to enable decision making
  • Reviewing the weekly preparation of 13 week rolling cash flow forecast and managing the company cash position
  • Reviewing and approving payment runs on a weekly basis
  • Reviewing Balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Streamlining and improving all operations and accounting systems
  • Support the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processes
  • Planning and coordinating Audits and preparation of year-end statutory accounts
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects to support the wider Group Finance team and business

Qualifications

  • Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA Accountant with minimum of 1-2 years PQE
  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills alongside confident leadership and management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Strong business acumen, and the ability to influence people at all levels
  • Strong team player with a sense of ownership and initiative to drive things forward
