This Finance Business Partner role will support Credit Cards and Personal Loans within our Retail Finance team. Our Finance Business Partnering teams are integral to our success as a Society, working both within the wider finance team and directly with areas across the Society to ensure we achieve our strategic objectives and deliver value for our members. This role creates a great opportunity for someone to join a team providing key stakeholders with financial guidance, advice and creating great pieces of analysis to support and challenge through decision making.We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.   • You will be leading a team and will be responsible for understanding and explaining financial performance to the business.
  • Helping the business define and understand the implications of pricing proposals, competitor strategies and market dynamics.
  • Working with stakeholders across the Society to deliver robust forecasts, including Plan and external Stress Tests.
  • You will be the Finance lead on high profile strategic initiatives to ensure that all requirements and impacts are understood to enable a smooth delivery across all aspects the team and working with key stakeholders in the Society.

About you

  • You’ll be an experienced Accountant with the relevant professional qualifications (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
  • Commercially-focused, you’ll have a background in business partnering and have experience with financial products and propositions using both internal and external information to inform complex pricing decisions.
  • You will have a broad and deep knowledge of the dynamics of capital, balance sheet risk, sources of funding and be comfortable challenging outside of your areas of expertise, and a proven track record of working very closely with non-finance stakeholders to strike the right balance between customer outcomes and commercial sustainability.
  • You’ll have strong communication skills, with the confidence and credibility to present the finance perspective to senior stakeholders within the Society.
  • You’ll have strong analytical skills and will be able to understand complex data quickly and have a track record of generating innovative ideas and solutions to problems.
  • You’ll be organised and able to manage a portfolio of deliverables to high standards in a fast-paced environment.
