Job description
KennedyPearce are hiring a Finance Analyst- IT/Capex focused. This role is hybrid working on a 12 month FTC, working 3 days in the office. We are looking for immediate candidates with cost focused experience.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the IT recoveries process, ensuring accurate allocation of resource costs to projects on a monthly basis
- Administer the quarterly recharge of IT management costs to capital projects
- Lead the month-end reporting for IT contracts, including accruals, prepayments, journal postings, and reconciliations
- Track actual spend vs. budget, identify variances, and highlight risks and opportunities to the IT Business Partner
- Support the IT Business Partner with budgeting and forecasting for BAU IT contract costs and project spend, with detailed analysis of changes
- Ensure accurate accounting for IT projects, including correct divisional reporting and variance analysis
- Provide ad hoc analysis and financial support to the wider IT team as needed
- Deliver detailed analysis of TSA (Transitional Services Agreement) IT charges, ensuring accuracy and timely invoicing
- Maintain accurate ledger entries and updates for TSA-related costs, adjusting as contracts evolve
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong experience in month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally, especially with non-finance stakeholders
- Highly numerate with a strong analytical mindset
- Experience with project and SaaS accounting is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data modelling)
- Organised, flexible, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
