Our mission is to create nurturing environments where children can thrive and grow.Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as a Childcare Coordinator. In this role, you will play a vital part in overseeing our family day home agency operations, ensuring compliance with provincial regulations, and maintaining high standards of home-based childcare.Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the day home agency, including recruitment, training, and supervision of childcare consultants and day home educators.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with day home educators, families, provincial licensing officers, and community partners.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and standards set by provincial authorities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions and workshops for day home educators.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided by day home educators.
  • Act as a resource and support for day home educators, offering guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to day home operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Family Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in childcare, education or social work settings, including at least five years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • (Candidates with less experience may be considered for an Assistant Coordinator position).
  • Alberta “Level 3” Early Childhood Educator certification, or eligibility for certification.
  • Knowledge of Alberta childcare regulations and licensing requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to maintain and foster a positive “heart and mind” workplace culture where excellence, collaboration, and personal and professional development can thrive.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • (Financial management and marketing experience an asset.)
