Overview:Factory Operatives (Packing & Machine Operatives – Multiples roles available)Humdinger, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25We are looking for committed team players who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Position type: Full-time, PermanentHours: 40Breaks: x1 30-minute breaks and x2 15-minute breakShift Pattern: 12-hour days and nights. No weekend work, barring one Sunday 6pm start every 3 weeks! You will work the below pattern:Week 1: Sunday to Tuesday 18:00 – 06:00 (3 nights followed by 5 days off)Week 2: Monday to Tuesday 06:00 – 18:00 & Wednesday to Thursday 18:00 – 06:00 (2 days followed by 2 nights followed by 5 days off)Week 3: Wednesday to Friday 06:00 – 18:00 (followed by 1 day off, then start again on week 1)Machine Operatives Pay range: (increase with skilled gained)Grade 1 Pay Rate: £11.97 /hour (Entry pay) (£24,897.60 equivalent)Grade 2 Pay Rate: £12.17Grade 3 Pay Rate: £13.13Packing Operatives Pay range: £11.49 /hour (£23,899.20 equivalent)Interviews will be held on Wednesday afternoons at 2pm.Please note there is no public transport to get you on shift for 06:00. Responsibilities:Packing Operative
- Support Machine Operators by packing bagged products into boxes.
- Weigh products to ensure accuracy.
- Complete essential documents such as daily packing sheets.
- Perform manual handling tasks including picking, packing, and other production duties.
- Work independently while receiving support from your Team Leader.
Machine Operative
- Operate machinery such as Bagging, Bulking, Foiling, and Netting (full training provided).
- Ensure products are packed to the highest quality and food safety standards.
- Monitor machinery performance, identify issues, and report breakdowns to the engineering team.
- Perform manual handling tasks.
- Adhere to safe work systems and procedures.
- Follow cleaning schedules to maintain a clean work environment (daily, weekly, and monthly tasks).
- Complete CCP (Critical Control Point) checks within the required timeframes.
- Monitor asset performance and raise any necessary actions.
- Follow work orders and complete regular checks.
- Ensure quality and integrity are maintained throughout the production process.
- Adhere to the packing plan and comply 100% with all QAS standards.
- Work independently on the packing line, alongside operating machinery, as required.
Receive training in Level 2 Food Safety, Allergen Awareness, and various other certifications in your first few weeks. Qualifications:We’re in search of committed team players.
