This position requires a deep understanding of ESG principles, exceptional customer management skills, and the ability to deliver customised solutions that align with the customer’s goals and regulatory requirements. Delivering purpose-led and measurable outcomes on projects.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCustomer Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary ESG liaison for the customer, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
• Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key client stakeholders.
• A technical expert and promoting innovation in a particular area of sustainability, such as waste, energy/carbon, water, responsible sourcing of materials & Social Value.
• Provide specialist advice and guidance on all aspects of Social Value performance, including but not limited to, community investment and engagement, charitable partnerships, volunteering Programmes, employment, skills and training, apprenticeships, school engagement, community safety and social inclusion, and facilitate the implementation of strategies.
• Being aware of customer and market needs to evolve and maintain necessary competencies.

ESG Strategy and Implementation

• Develop and implement customised ESG strategies and action plans for the customer.
• Ensure alignment of ESG initiatives with the customer’s business objectives and industry standards.
• Prepare, monitor, and deliver yearly social value initiatives that have been identified, supporting both Speedy and the customer in achieving. Providing progress reports throughout the year

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure the customer’s compliance with relevant ESG regulations and standards.
• Keep the customer informed about emerging ESG regulations and best practices.
• Support and advise the customer on technical subjects such as ISO 14001, PAS 2080 or similar collaborating closely with their internal ESG team.

Person Specification

• Proficiency in project management and organisational skills with ability to manage own workload to ensure delivery of deliverables on time and to budget, displaying attention to detail and confidence.
• Knowledge of ESG principles, frameworks, standards, regulations, and legislation

• Excellent understanding of the regulatory landscape and ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance and proactive engagement.
• Degree level qualification science-based topic, economics, or sustainability and preferably a member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) or equivalent with a strong technical understanding all ESG matters.
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver
