Farnsworth Group is seeking an Environmental Intern – Summer 2026 in the posting location below. In this role, qualified candidates will work with our Energy and Utilities division conducting field assessments and assisting with environmental permitting and compliance.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide environmental support for various energy and utilities projects.
- Perform inspections on construction sites for erosion and sediment control.
- Provide field support to delineate and map wetlands, perform environmental compliance inspections, describe habitat, and report environmental conditions to design engineers
- Research and assist with environmental permitting at the federal, state, and local levels
- Assist with the composition of a variety of regulatory documents including Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), and Best Management Practice (BMP) Plans
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma
- Completed Junior Year of Undergraduate Program in a related field
- Great attitude, willingness to learn, and a team player
- Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently
Nice to Haves:
- Pursuing Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field.
- experience conducting environmental surveys using GPS
- Experience with ArcGIS
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong oral and written communication skills
