This dual responsibility ensures that engineering excellence is paired with strong, supportive leadership. You will guide the team through the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), from architecture and design to delivery and quality assurance. With a hands-on approach, you’ll directly contribute to codebases, solve complex technical problems, and champion engineering best practices.Partnering closely with a Product Manager, you’ll share ownership over team direction and outcomes. While the Product Manager leads the “why” and “what,” you’ll focus on the “how” and “when,” ensuring that technical implementation aligns with business goals and timelines.Key Responsibilities1. Technical LeadershipLead and take ownership of the technical delivery across all SDLC phasesContribute directly to architecture, design decisions, and development effortsDrive code quality, performance, scalability, and maintainabilityFacilitate agile practices and champion continuous improvementSolve complex technical problems and mentor team members on solution strategies2. People ManagementManage a team of 6-8 software engineers, supporting career growth and technical developmentProvide regular feedback, set performance goals, and conduct reviewsCreate an inclusive, empowering environment where diverse perspectives are valuedParticipate in hiring, onboarding, and capacity planning3. Product CollaborationWork side-by-side with Product Managers to align on vision, scope, and technical feasibilityTranslate product roadmaps into engineering plans and timelinesCo-lead agile ceremonies and ensure a balance between product and technical prioritiesDrive measurable business outcomes through thoughtful engineering execution4.
