To ensure that the Staff Canteen is kept clean and maintained on a daily basis. Canteen stock to be replenished before and after each meal period. Hot & cold buffet displays to be cleaned each day before stocking with food and presented in line with Health, Safety & Hygiene regulations and company standards. Benches and all counter tops to be cleaned daily. Associate Stairs and entrance area is kept clean as well as ladies and gents restrooms and locker rooms.

  • To host work colleagues whilst they use the staff canteen; displaying a welcoming and friendly demeanor.
  • To maintain a pre-determined cleaning schedule on a daily basis and initial each job on completion.
  • To maintain all standards of Health & Safety and Service Standards and ensure ‘clean as you go’ is maintained.
  • To maintain correct levels of stock for both lunch and dinner service to include clean cutlery & crockery, napkins, condiments, cups, cordial, coffee, tea bags and all other daily use items.
  • To maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, walls, windows and floors in the staff canteen, men’s and lady’s locker rooms and the staff restrooms. To report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance team using Transcendent.
  • Ensure that all breakages and spillages are immediately cleaned up to prevent accidents.
  • To manage the canteen lunch and dinner service; stock food items at the start of service, replenish items as needed during service and clean tables after each use.
  • Ensure the coffee machine is cleaned and maintained as per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Empty waste bins after each meal period and dispose of as required. Ensure Mission Zero guidelines are followed for any food wastage.
  • To be fully compliant in Food Hygiene, Food Allergen and COSHH training.
  • To maintain temperature records for Staff Restaurant and report any areas of failure to your Line Manager.
  • To participate in bi-monthly locker room audits with your Line Manager/HR.
  • Ensure staff entrance and stairwell are clean and tidy at all times. Clean handrails and steps as necessary.
  • To know and follow evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency.
  • To pursue your duties in a safe manner with due regard to the Health & Safety of yourself and your colleagues.
  • To report any defects or hazards without delay to your immediate superior and/or the Line Manager with specific Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • To ensure you do not interfere with anything provided in the interests of safety and wear any protective equipment provided.
