Overview
The education and Outreach Intern will help to plan and execute events, create education materials, and assist with on-the-ground projects as needed. Additionally, they will help manage FBSR’s marketing and outreach materials. The position will work closely with the Education and Outreach Manager and Executive Director. Training is provided.
Compensation
40 hours/week at $19/hour; Mileage and supply reimbursement for water testing
Hours and Schedule
Limited-term, full-time, non-exempt position; generally, Monday-Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, some Saturdays and evenings may be required for special events
Timeframe
May through August, with potential for extension based on need and funding

Qualifications
Friends of the Big Sioux River seeks applicants who have recently completed their bachelor’s degree or who are current part-time or full-time students at a college, university, or technical institute. All applicants must be eligible to work in the United States at the time they apply and have a valid driver’s license. The applicant must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
