What You Can Expect
This role is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of Marvell’s Global Trade Compliance team, spanning both export and import compliance functions. This includes overseeing the operational implementation of programs supporting compliance with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations and sanctions programs, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations, and other applicable import/export laws and regulations in the countries where Marvell operates, as well as The Marvell Code.
The role is responsible for evaluating, designing, implementing, and testing compliant systems, processes, and procedures as the team and business scale – including the evaluation and implementation of AI-driven automation and tools to enhance trade compliance efficiency and effectiveness – and for partnering closely with counsel on matters requiring legal interpretation. This is both a strategic and operational role: the successful candidate will architect a trade compliance program designed for high growth, ensuring that systems and processes are calibrated to our risks and built to scale rapidly as the business grows, while also building organizational capability, developing talent, and ensuring the trade compliance function keeps pace with a fast-growing, fast-changing business.

What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree required; a Juris Doctorate or other advanced degree is a plus but not required.
Licensed customs broker a plus.
Extensive, hands-on experience in trade compliance, spanning all core areas of the discipline – including transactions, technology transfer, and tariffs – with deep, hands-on expertise in classification (ECCN/HTS) and program management.
Proven experience managing and scaling a global team of trade compliance professionals at all career levels, ideally in a high-growth environment.
Semiconductor industry or related advanced-technology experience required.
Strategic thought leader with strong business acumen and sound judgment.
Politically savvy, with strong executive presence and the ability to influence stakeholders beyond formal authority across a complex, matrixed organization.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex regulatory concepts into simple, actionable terms for the business.
Experience managing global trade compliance teams, systems implementations, and budgets.
Nimble learner, quick to adopt new tools and technologies; technical or engineering background a plus.
Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
167,100 – 247,310, $ per annum
The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
This role is eligible to participate in Marvell’s bonus and equity plans, including a new hire equity grant and annual equity refreshers, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions and remain invested in the company’s long-term success.
