Join us!SUMMARY: The Director, Site Relationships will lead the implementation of our global site strategy. This role is responsible for working with regional managers to expand our site alliance network while also expanding our integrations and revenue opportunities related to sites. This role will have regional direct reports and will need to set appropriate goals consistent with the department’s vision and overall site and patient strategy with the aim of increasing value to Worldwide. The Director, Site Relationships will sign off on new sites and new initiatives with sites, ensuring that new partnerships add strategic value to the Worldwide portfolio. The role will also be responsible for implementation of new revenue lines with the support of the Global Clinical Development leadership team. These relationships will benefit our customers, from site feasibility through to database lock and our sites, by ensuring that industry sites think of Worldwide as a “CRO of choice”.RESPONSIBILITIES:Tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Identification of new potential alliance sites in assigned region of the world that align with Worldwide’s therapeutic areas of focus
  • Delegation of site alliances across the global Site Relationships team, leveraging regional expertise, geographic proximity, and workload management to ensure proper oversight of sites
  • Lead introductory calls with potential new alliance sites, acting as a role model for team members when it comes to asking the right questions and determining potential value of a site to Worldwide
  • Acting as first line approval for new sites to the network that have gone through our site evaluation process, ensuring that sites meet our expected quality and performance standards
  • Point of escalation for global Worldwide alliance sites, including but not limited to issue resolution and, depending on volume, attendance of governance calls with key partnered sites
  • Work with team to ensure our records for sites remain up to date, including site capabilities, investigators, experience, and anything else required
  • When required, directly manage day to day relationships of site alliances with goal of delegating responsibilities when possible to regional team members
  • Work with business development teams during the pre-award process in order to ensure site alliances are represented in a competitive, data-driven manner and act as final reviewer for proposal text
  • Work with the study start-up teams to ensure that site alliances are prioritized correctly and that efficiencies involved with utilizing site alliances are properly communicated
  • Represent Worldwide in bid defense preparation and / or bid defense meetings when requested
  • Monitor site performance on awarded studies and bring deficiencies in performance to sites’ attention when warranted
  • When sites fall behind on start-up or enrollment performance, work with sites and internal teams to strategize ways to improve performance
  • Collate and analyze global KPI data on a monthly basis to present to Global Clinical Development leadership and strategize ways to improve performance on an ongoing basis
  • Lead and support team in conducting ongoing surveys to evaluate the status of the relationship and share results with the full team, including but not limited to start up metrics, recruitment metrics & query resolution metrics.
  • Share information with internal stakeholders regarding new sites onboarded as well as site expansions and other updates
  • Lead the implementation of new revenue models related to sites, including but not limited to possible site integrations, development of “pop up” or “research-naïve” sites, or other service offerings
  • When onboarding a site for which Worldwide is integrating closer (placing direct resources), act as an additional level of approval by visiting site location to ensure operational quality and safety of potential patients
  • Provide advice to Global Clinical Development leadership team on site trends and industry movement related to competitive intelligence and the acquisition market.
  • Ensure that global Worldwide network has proper geographic and therapeutic coverage in accordance with vision laid out by Global Clinical Development leadership team
  • Support hiring efforts for team expansion by participating in interviews with Global Clinical Development leadership to ensure proper competencies and culture fit
  • Support Global Clinical Development team in forecasting resources needed based on cost analysis and workload of team

  • Comprehension of the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Comprehension and experience with of budgets and business-planning
  • Ability to conduct complex analyses and research, weighing priorities
  • Proven relationship skills with internal personnel and external partners including leadership teams
  • Leadership and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work at a fast pace with short timelines and minimal oversight.
  • Ability to travel when required, 10-20%
  • Ability to lead a remote team.

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8+ Years’ experience in the clinical research industry/healthcare industry
  • Experience working at or working with sites globally
  • Proven experience of using state of the art best practices
  • Proven experience implementing a strategy within an organization with demonstrable results
  • Knowledge of healthcare, clinical trial, & privacy regulations
  • Knowledge of industry standards
  • Ability to work autonomously, including direct management of remote teams, balancing time zone requirements as necessary
  • Knowledge of the principles of Good Clinical Practice
