This team is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational performance of key client assets, with a focus on both accounting accuracy and strategic financial planning. We will rely on your strong foundational accounting knowledge and your ability to lead forward-looking financial analysis to provide comprehensive insights for our clients and management team.This is a hybrid role, ideally requiring 2-3 days in the office per week, with flexibility to work remotely on other days.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of portfolio analysts and reporting specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to cultivate future leaders within the organization.
- Oversee the end-to-end portfolio reporting process, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Personally present high-stakes reports to JLL Senior Management and key clients, serving as the authoritative voice on portfolio performance and trends.
- Drive the strategic evolution of the annual budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with Property Managers and other stakeholders to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and predictive capabilities.
- Design and implement a comprehensive quality assurance framework for all internal and external reporting, guaranteeing the highest standards of data integrity and analytical rigor.
- Pioneer the development of sophisticated financial modeling and projection tools, leveraging advanced analytics to provide actionable insights and drive value creation across the portfolio, and support new business initiatives by contributing to RFP for prospective clients and mandate expansion
- Lead large-scale system implementations and process transformation initiatives, aligning technological capabilities with business objectives to dramatically improve operational efficiency and analytical capabilities.
- Spearhead the development and implementation of advanced Power BI dashboards and analytics tools, revolutionizing the way portfolio data is visualized, analyzed, and presented to senior management and clients.
- Cultivate a dynamic, forward-thinking team culture that embraces innovation, collaboration, and excellence in all aspects of portfolio reporting and analytics.
- Serve as the ultimate escalation point for complex issues, leveraging deep industry expertise and strategic problem-solving skills to resolve high-impact challenges and maintain strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to align portfolio reporting and analytics strategies with broader organizational goals, driving data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Recognized professional accounting designation, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years experience in financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting and financial performance analysis, ideally within commercial real estate
- 5+ years of management experience
- Advanced level of Microsoft Excel and Power BI, and proficiency with other applications of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint; SharePoint)
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analytics tools
- Knowledge of Yardi Voyager and Advanced Forecasting and Budgeting, an asset;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to gather, interpret and synthesize various data points and sources;
- Strategic, innovative, challenge the status-quo and recommend improvements;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills;
- Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented and deadline-driven;
- Work in a fast-paced and evolving environment;
- High energy with a positive attitude;
- Proficiency in English and French, an asset
