Job DescriptionJob ID#:4725Job Category:DirectorWe are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to provide leadership and oversight to our client’s fiscal department near Albany, NY. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the organization’s mission through sound financial management. This is an exciting opportunity for a financial professional, looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and supportive environment.Responsibilities of the Director of Finance will include:

• Provide financial leadership, direction, and supervision to the fiscal department.
• Oversee and maintain accurate financial documentation, including general ledger, purchase requests, invoices, check registers, Medicaid billings, accounts payable/receivable, payroll journals, and bank statements.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, corporate, and internal policies, as well as GAAP, HIPAA, and industry best practices.
• Prepare and distribute timely financial reports, including regulatory reports, consolidated fiscal reports, quarterly reports, and budget reports.
• Manage the preparation and coordination of all activities related to semiannual audit schedules and the review of monthly and annual financial statements.

Job RequirementsQualifications of the Director of Finance:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, and a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, CMS, OPWDD financial standards, CFR, and DOH (TBI waiver).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and lead a team.
