WSP USA is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Director to lead the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of our safety program for a major, long-term utility project in the greater New York City area.
The successful candidate will be a key resource for interpreting health, safety, and environmental regulatory requirements, assuring compliance and best practices. As an integral part of our cross-services collaborative team, you will contribute to a growing organization dedicated to meeting our client’s objectives and solving complex challenges. This Vice President-level position will report directly to the WSP US HSE Deputy and will be a dedicated, project position. The candidate can be based near any office in the NY/NJ/PA tri-state area, provided they can mobilize to various project sites (Queens, Bronx, Nassau, Westchester counties) and attend office meetings (Manhattan) within a daily commute if needed. They will provide ongoing communication to supervision and project management regarding the assessment of the HSE program’s performance and will define and implement recommended actions to enhance safety and compliance.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $125,500 – $231,990
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
