Job description
We are seeking a Director, Financial Control (Level 7) to play a key role in supporting the VP, Finance and CFO and the wider IRIS Group Finance department at a period of significant change and transformation.They will have a broad range of responsibilities including responsibility for the consolidated financial reporting of the IRIS Software Group, external audit, credit control, cash and treasury functions, CoSec, insurance, interaction with lenders and investors and working alongside a finance & systems transformation.The successful individual will support a range of tasks including:
- Managing the preparation of monthly consolidated schedules and associated commentary for inclusion in the monthly Board report (P&L, Balance Sheet and cashflow), monthly investor reporting and quarterly lender reporting packs
- Managing the preparation of the monthly cashflow forecasting
- Managing the preparation of consolidated and stand-alone entity accounts for a number of companies within the Group
- Project managing the year end audit process
- Providing technical expertise to the wider finance team
- Driving process improvements and standardisation
- Supporting on M&A activity
- Managing the preparation of VAT returns for the IRIS Group
- Playing a key role in relationships with investors, lenders and the banks
- Review and approval of supplier payments
- Supporting the learning and development of the wider finance team
- Deputising for the VP, Finance
- Managing a team of accountants (c. 45 individuals, both qualified and part-qualified)
- Managing credit control team
- Company Secretarial activities
- Managing the annual insurance renewal process
Currently the business is working across multiple systems due to a high level of acquisition activity and this role will involve working with multiple systems and dispersed teams across the UK.This role is best suited to a qualified accountant with previous reporting, control and audit, excellent communication skills and managing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge and Experience
- Degree educated or qualified by experience
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with relevant PQE
- Excellent system and reporting skills
- Technical accounting knowledge
- Practice experience desirable
- Works effectively under pressure
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Team Player
